TreeView HideSelection=False Not Working

I have a treeView control with the background set to the "Control" color
and the HideSelection property set to False.  When the control loses
focus -I can't see which item is selected...

With the background color set to White I can see a very slight difference.
With the background color set to "Window" the default -you can only slightly see it...

Is there a way to define what color to use for the background when HideSelection=False?
