what control is typically used to display the purchased items in POS System?

hi friends,

typically in POS systems, when a customer purchases something it will be added to a list this could be a datagridview or a listview control.( To elaborate the operator at counter scans a bar code, once its been scanned it added that item to a listview or datagridview control. ) In the pos industry, typically what is the control that the professionals use for this?
