As the title says I get the error message:
Could not find file 'obj\Debug\MyApp.exe'.
when trying to build the solution. Checked and the folder does not contain the file. Right before this error started occurring there was a different one relating to the designer. I think it occurred when I did a change to a user control used in a different classes designer, but not sure about that.The error was that the MyUserControl myUserControl was never assigned to (something like that) even though it was assigned correctly in the designer code. These errors (including the could not find file one) has stopped / started again seemingly at random.
I have tried:
- Clean solution
- Deleting the bin and obj folder
- Set the correct assembly version
- Reinstall all software related to Visual Studio 2013 (including .Net Framework and MS SQL
- Resetting all Visual Studio setting
- Simplifying the constructors of my user controls to only include initialization of variables and InitializeComponent()
I use:
- Visual Studio 2013
- .Net Framework 4.5.1
- C#
- Windows 7
