Determining Width of a DataGridView with DockStyle.Fill

I have a DataGridView control residing in a splitcontainer.  The design width of the control is 545, but it expands with DockStyle.Fill.  When I try to determine the expanded width, I get the design width.  How can I get the true expanded (Fill) width?
