Upto Win7, when we used to disable UAC through control panel , below registry got changed to 0.
Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Key: EbableLUA
Value data: 0
But same is not true with Windows 8. This registry is still ON (or have Value data = 1) when we disable UAC.
We have some legacy scripts (in our installers) designed around this registry which are getting failed in case of Windows 8.
Can we please know the way to detect whether UAC is ON or OFF for Windows 8, so that we can redesign our scripts according to that?
